SPECIAL - "River Rising" event presented by the St. Johns Riverkeeper at the Town of Orange Park Town Hall.   Join the St. Johns RIVERKEEPER and local experts as we take a deep dive into issues affecting our community at the start of hurricane season.  Experts will be on hand to discuss the impact of rising seas, past St. Johns River dredging projects, and the dredging that is currently underway.  “As the Ocean Creeps In,” a recent Florida Times-Union special report, revealed how decades of channelizing and dredging our river has left Jacksonville more susceptible to severe storms, flood events, and rising waters. The event will be held at Orange Park Town Hall Council Chambers on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. For more information click here.

After 9 years the DeBarry Ave lighting project, worked for by your GPOHCA, is complete!  Thanks to current and past members of GPOHCA and the Town of Orange Park Town Council we can mark this off our list.  Please  take a drive (or walk) at night to see the lights in action.  There were 5 lights added, 3 of those are "lamp post" style and they are all working!

They are located on DeBarry Ave just south of the Town limit sign in the wooded area just north of the development called "The Timbers at Laurel Grove Plantation".

Thanks again to all those involved.
